SOS stands for Save Our Souls. It's also the maritime radio text message that stands for HELP. In one sense, we have heard the cry of those who are lost and hurting.

MEET OUR LEAD Pastors
Pastor Fernando came from Brazil in 1998. He likes to say he graduated from "Street University: drugs, fights, and homelessness. Then Jesus found him. He left his restaurants, was radically changed, and became a missionary-evangelist across Africa. On that road he met Elizabeth, Liz, the love of his life. She grew up in Pittsburgh, where they met. She came to Jesus as a child, was raised in the church, and became a nurse. She now works part-time while raising and homeschooling their three children, Malachi, Bella, and Lala, the feistiest of them all.
Fernando is full of passion. He likes meat, UFC fights, motorcycles and Lake Lanier.
Liz is a pillar of stability. She loves being a mom, her love language is quality time, and boy the lady can cook a meal.
They were called to leave the mission field after 13 years of serving Africa, to plant a church in Buford. When you see them ask about the Horse and Cowboy story. It will blow your mind how these two ended up very specifically, in Buford.

OUR HISTORY
Johannes and Maria Amritzer founded SOS. Beginning in 1996, they traveled through the jungles of Kenya to preach at what became the first of many festivals. Through this faith step, they pioneered a movement that allowed them to preach the Gospel across Europe, Southeast Asia, India, and unreached tribes. SOS Adventure is the missions arm of every church we plant.
There are SOS churches all over the world.
SOS Buford is the first SOS Church in United States of America.
